MUCH Loved actor Rodney Litchfield, known for roles in Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Phoenix Nights, has died aged 81.

The actor's career spanned more than 30 years, with further credits in Heartbeat, A Touch of Frost and Shameless.

Rodney passed in his sleep on Saturday after being ill "for some time."

Meanwhile, the Beckham's secretly battled coronavirus after catching it while at social events in the US.

Staff and relatives also tested positive for Covid-19 after attending the launch of David's new football club in LA.

And on GMB this morning, Piers Morgan was caught tucking himself in, live on air, as co-stars Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins watched in amazement.

    Minnie Driver has described the night she was nominated for an Oscar as like “walking into the Roman Colosseum”.

    The British-American star was 28 when up for the best supporting actress Academy Award in recognition of her role in 1997 drama Good Will Hunting – but lost out to Kim Basinger.

    Appearing on restaurant critic Jay Rayner's Out To Lunch podcast, Driver, 50, was asked how she coped with the “huge success” of Good Will Hunting.

    “Oh I didn't, it was awful,” she said. “I'll never forget the night of the Academy Awards because I was actually with my dad who has since gone and I was with my mum and my sister.

    “I can only describe it as I imagine walking into the Roman Colosseum, with just these shrieking hordes and utterly overwhelming and terrifying.”

    PIERS Morgan has apologised to tearful Paul Gascoigne after his selfie sparked a £140,000 raid on the football legend’s home.

    It's feared the Good Morning Britain host inadvertently let thieves know Gazza's home was empty when he posted a photograph to his 7.6million Twitter followers.

    The ex-England star, who has battled alcoholism, said he was left devastated by the loss of the items which “meant so much” to him.

    Gazza is convinced the crooks struck his home after ITV presenter Piers Morgan shared a socially distanced selfie with the legend on social media.

    Piers said: “I'm very sorry, Paul, if that has inadvertently put you in this position.”

    THE Towie cast broke down in tears watching Nanny Pat's heartbreaking final scenes on the ITVBe show.

    Her granddaughter Jess Wright sobbed as clips of The Only Way Is Essex legend before she died appeared during the 10 year anniversary reunion – with fans also crying as they watched from home.

    Jess appeared in the clip singing Adele's song 'Make You Feel My Love' at Nanny Pat's birthday 80th birthday.

    Cementing herself as Towie royalty, Pat dressed up like the Queen at the regal themed bash – with all of the long-running show's favourites attending the bash.

    One viewer admitted on Twitter that they were an “absolute emotional wreck”.

    STRICTLY'S Nicola Adams is risking a clash with show bosses after teasing she'll set up a steamy OnlyFans account with her girlfriend.

    The boxer, 37, who has been in a relationship with Ella Baig, 22, for two years, asked her Instagram followers if she should join her on the X-rated site, the Mail revealed.

    Recording a video on a recent holiday in Mykonos, Greece, Nicola cheekily asked: “Ella doesn't know… yet, what do you think about me and Ella doing some couples OnlyFans?”

    It was a landslide result in favour of her signing up, with 82 per cent responding “yes”.

    SUSANNA Reid threw insults at “chubster” Piers Morgan today to encourage him to shed the pounds he's put on during lockdown.

    The Good Morning Britain presenters both admitted to piling on weight over the past few months.

    Piers cheekily suggested they do “vigorous exercise” together to lose weight.

    He added: “Like a lot of people in lockdown, especially when you bust your ankle up, I have put on weight.

    “I am carrying too much weight. I reckon I put on at least half a stone, three-quarters of a stone.”

    “I need to be fat-shamed to get it off.”

    BRITAIN’S Got Talent has received more than 1,000 complaints over Diversity’s Black Lives Matter dance.

    Ashley Banjo led the dance troupe for the raw performance on Saturday evening’s episode which included him being knelt on by a police officer.

    1,121 viewers took grievance with what some called a political stance on the ITV show and complained to watchdog Ofcom.

    A spokeswoman said: “We have received a total of 1,121 complaints in relation to last Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent, most of which related to the Diversity dance segment.

    “We are assessing the complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

    GEMMA Collins has stuck her fingers up at clothing brands who wouldn't dress her size 16 body in the early days of Towie.

    The reality diva, 39, appeared in last night's 10th anniversary special which looked back at highlights from the show.

    In a video to her fans, Gemma said: “I was never the prettiest girl on the show. I never had the best body.

    “Obviously I was confident when I went on the show, but a lot of clothing brands wouldn't lend me their clothing because they said I was too fat.

    “I was a size 14/16, and you know I'm bigger now, and basically I've got my own clothing brand. So to everyone who wouldn't lend me clothing or put me in their brands, what you got to say now, huns?”

  • £2.4M PAID BACK FOR FROGMORE REVAMP AFTER £112M NETFLIX DEAL

    PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have paid taxpayers back £2.4million for renovations on Frogmore Cottage.

    The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were urged by MPs to refund the money spent on their Windsor home after netting a £112million megabucks deal with Netflix last week.

    A spokesman for the couple said: “A contribution has been made to the Sovereign Grant by The Duke of Sussex.

    “This contribution, as originally offered by Prince Harry, has fully covered the necessary renovation costs of Frogmore Cottage, a property of Her Majesty The Queen, and will remain the UK residence of The Duke and his family.”

    Grade II-listed Frogmore Cottage in Windsor was a wedding gift from the Queen but remains empty after Meghan and Harry left for LA with baby Archie.

    It'll continue as their base however, when they are in the UK.

    He broke down in tears on today's show as he spoke about what losing his dad's watch meant to him, he said: “I was really close to my dad, he gave us it… so for it to get stolen.

    “I don't mind the other stuff, but the sentimental stuff meant a hell of a lot of us.

    “Whoever has got it doesn't have to own up to it, they could leave it in a bag and leave it somewhere. It's heartbreaking.”

    THIS Morning viewers were stunned today as the show accidentally showed a nudist's penis.

    Josie Gibson, 35, stripped off as she appeared live from Liverpool for a feature with naturists milling around behind her.

    The action has been carefully filmed with doorframes, tables and chairs stopping the free-spirited group's genitals from appearing on daytime TV.

    However, in one shot, the door of the car being given away in the This Morning competition wasn't enough to hide one bloke's penis.

    The accidental broadcast didn't escape This Morning host Phillip Schofield, 58, who roared: “That was close, that was close!”

  • 'LOVE TO YOU ALL'

    ASHLEY Banjo revealed he received a barrage of abuse over his dance crew Diversity's Black Lives Matter-inspired routine on Britain's Got Talent.

    But the show's stand-in judge has thanked his critics for proving that it was a necessary performance.

    He wrote on Twitter: “So much to say… But I’ll Just let the performance talk. Thousands of messages of Love and support – Thank you.

    “For the thousands of messages of hate and ignorance – Thank you. You highlight exactly what needs to change. Sending nothing but love to you all.”

    The 31-year-old dancer and choreographer was knelt on by a white police officer during the routine, they all dropped down on one knee as haunting vocals sang “I can't breathe.”

    DOC Martin fans will be left devastated as the show comes to an end after 16 years, ITV bosses have revealed.

    The twists and turns of the life of the grumpy Cornish GP, operating in a sleepy fishing village, will come to a close in 2021 after its 10th series – first bursting on-screen in 2004.

    Doc Martin actor Martin Clunes and producer Philippa Braithwaite, of production company Buffalo Pictures, said in a joint statement: “We have loved making nine series of Doc Martin.

    “When we launched the series in 2004 we could never have imagined how much our loyal viewers would take to the grumpy Doc like they have.

    “The series has avid fans both in the UK and throughout the world and we are thrilled that Doc Martin has topped the ratings every time.

    “However, after 16 years we now feel that the time has come to say goodbye to Portwenn.”

  • 'WHO DESERVES THAT?'

    MOLLY-Mae Hague broke down in tears as she revealed her skin cancer scare with fans.

    The Love Island star, 21, got emotional as she recalled the mole on her calf her mum Debbie first noticed while she was in the villa – but reassured followers that it was non-cancerous.

    Molly-Mae was moved to tears after watching a segment from Stand Up To Cancer, taking to Instagram, she wrote: ” I actually found a mole on the back of my calf about a year or so ago and had it checked, obviously I'm so blessed that mine wasn't cancerous, but it just made me so upset that like ''what does she do to deserve that? Who deserves that?''

    After opening up about her own experience, Molly urged fans to get checked, she said: “Get your moles checked out people!!!

    “It is so unbelievably important. I've had this checked three times now by different consultants just to be sure.”

    The vile troll wrote: “Hope ur gf loses the baby.”

    The I’m a Celeb star hit back, he wrote: “Never thought a tweet would make me feel sick, if only you new how hurtful this is not only to us but so many other people!!! Please grow the F**k up quickly.”

    He also captioned his post: “Don't be sick and twisted…words can hurt.”

    The couple previously opened up about suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage last year, admitting they had been “hit hard” by the tragic loss.

    This will be Jake's first child and Sophie is already mum to her son Freddie, six, from a previous relationship.

    ROBBIE Williams gave fans a shock as he turned into a hologram on ITV's Soccer Aid last night.

    The Angels singer stunned viewers when he duetted with The Struts on their new single Strangle Days at half time but appeared as a hologram.

    One fan tweeted: “What have I just witnessed? Looks like they’ve just copy & pasted Robbie Williams into that performance.”

    The Angels singer couldn't be there in person as he was stuck in America following the coronavirus travel ban.

    Soccer Aid is the brainchild of Robbie Williams and his friend Jonathan Wilkes and has raised more than £38m for Unicef so far since 2006.

  • THEY'RE BACK

    EASTENDERS and Hollyoaks return tonight with their first new episodes in three months.

    The BBC soap was forced off air due to the pandemic in July and after a summer of filler shows, BBC One is welcoming back the show to the air.

    It will air a 21 minute episode tonight at 8.05pm on BBC One- from then on, the soap will be airing four nights a week at the slightly shorter length of twenty minutes.

    The news will be a relief for viewers, who have been left hanging after the finale on Tuesday, June 16, ended on a huge cliffhanger.

    Meanwhile Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks is also making a comeback with a double bill of new episodes on Channel 4 at 6.30pm and a first look episode on E4 at 7pm.

    SOCCER AID returned with a bang last night as an England XI packed with celebs and former stars took on the Rest of the World.

    The annual showpiece was held at Old Trafford, months later than originally planned, with the hosts looking to win back the trophy after the ROW XI triumphed in 2019.

    England suffered penalty shootout woe for the second Soccer Aid in a row ascomedian Lee Mack and YouTuber Chunkz missed from the spot in the charity match.

    World XI claimed victory in the 2020 edition of the exhibition match, winning on penalties for the second year in a row, after a 1-1 draw.

    The World XI team included stars like comedian Jason Manford, Love Island star Kem Cetinay and Capital 1 DJ Roman Kemp.

    Irish hitmaker Dermot Kennedy showed he’s multi-talented with man of the match.

    Stars from the England team including singer Olly Murs, former Towie star Mark Wright and fitness coach Joe Wicks also put showed off their footie skills.

    Viewers helped raise a record-breaking £11.5million for Unicef.
