Darragh Ennis threatens to ‘walk off’ The Chase after player’s lucky question ‘Going home’
The Chase: Bradley says ‘how dare you’ to Darragh Ennis
Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis has quickly emerged as a fan-favourite among The Chase viewers after being added to the cast of Chasers last year. So his return to the ITV show this evening left fans over the moon as he took on contestants Paul, Mandy, Jamie and Emma to try and stop them walking home with some serious cash. However, the Chaser joked Bradley Walsh was lucky to keep him on the show after first player Emma was given a question which fell within her area of expertise.
Singer/songwriter Emma stepped up to take on Darragh first this evening and got off to a relatively solid start.
Racking up £5,000 in her cash-builder, Emma dismissed her fellow The Chase contestants’ advice to settle for the £1,000 lower offer and vied for the amount she’d earned.
Darragh soon emerged for their face-off but the beginning of their head-to-head could not have fallen more in Emma’s favour.
Bradley asked the musically-inclined Emma: “What musical term describes a connecting passage between two sections of a composition?”

The possible answers were Arch, Platform or Bridge – with Emma inevitably opting for the correct answer of Bridge.
“Absolutely, musical, correct answer is,” Bradley commented as the right answer flashed on-screen.
Darragh also got the correct answer but not without dishing out a swipe at the calibre of questions.
Noting how Emma sang in a church also, The Menace quipped: “If the next question is about the Bible, I’m going home.”
Luckily, Darragh’s threat to walk off was in jest and the Chaser stayed put – although it didn’t stop Emma romping back to the Final Chase with her £5,000.
