Nothing is stopping Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree at the moment – not even a global pandemic – as they have announced another venture which is part of their Escape to The Chateau franchise – The Salon. The Salon is offering exclusive access to The Chateau and everything that goes on behind its doors. The subscription contains brand new Chateau content, once-in-a-lifetime competition prizes and exclusive gifts throughout the year – as well as access to Dick and Angel with monthly virtual ‘Evenings with’ the couple themselves. Express.co.uk spoke exclusively to the popular couple about The Salon as well as how life has been this past year in The Chateau. And with so many renovations are The Chateau now complete, Express.co.uk wanted to know whether the pair would say ‘I do’ once more in the beautifully restored Orangey.

When Dick and Angel visited The Chateau for the very first time back in 2015, despite it being derelict, they fell in love with it.

For Angel, the Orangery was her favourite part of the French estate, while Dick’s “happy place” was the walled garden.

And the November of the same year they moved in, they tied the knot in the local town hall before celebrating with their family and friends back at The Chateau, with their reception being held in the Orangery.

Since then, hundreds of weddings have been held in the building, with the Orangery now fully restored and ready for events.

With last year and this year’s weddings having been postponed due to the pandemic, Express.co.uk were wondering whether Dick and Angel would sneak in and renew their own wedding vows while it was empty.

They said: “Haha…possibly!!

“The Orangery is looking so lovely after the work we did last year, and we celebrated our wedding anniversary with a very special meal cooked and served (with a little help from the grandparents of course) by Arthur and Dorothy in their ‘pop-up’ restaurant.

“It was wonderful! For the time being though, we’re looking forward to seeing the space alive again with people and merriment when our wedding season finally re-starts,” they added.

As for what The Salon is all about, after signing up, members will receive a beautifully designed Welcome Letter and voucher to spend in The Chateau shop.

There is also a beautiful mounted watercolour Chateau print which is signed by Dick and Angel.

A seasonable menu card also gets new members ready for a virtual cook-along with the couple, plus details of ‘what’s what’,

As for the gifts, every quarter, The Salon members will receive a special gift.

In true Dick and Angel style, the couple wants it to feel personal, so all gifts are exclusive to the member of The Salon.

There is also an opportunity for members of The Salon to ask ‘Ask the Strawbridges’.

For anyone with a crafty conundrum or DIY dilemma, or who simply wants to find out more about the couple, members can ‘Ask the Strawbridges’ – with every email answered!

Every month there is also an opportunity to enter a prize draw and win a trip to The Chateau.

Speaking about their new venture, Dick and Angel said: “Over the years we have received thousands of emails from people wanting to know more about The Chateau or asking for advice on their latest project.

“The Salon is our way of answering this and opening our home to anyone who wants to see behind the scenes or even visit us by entering our monthly competitions.

“We truly wish we could host every event request we receive, but there are only so many days in the year!

“This inspired winning a celebration at The Chateau,” they continued.

“It’s not just limited to weddings, you can renew your vows or host a birthday bash, and if recent events have shown us anything, it’s how incredibly important family and friends are – and that in itself is reason to celebrate.”

The Salon members have the chance of winning an event to the value of £25,000 which will take place at The Chateau.

All episodes of Escape to the Chateau are available to watch on 4oD now and Dick and Angel’s new venture, Membership of The Salon is £10.00 per month or £108.00 per year. And for more information or to sign up to The Salon visit the website here
