EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth wears shades and a scarf as she's seen out for first time since ex was shot

GILLIAN Taylforth is seen for the first time since her ex-fiance was shot.

The EastEnders star, 65, wore shades and a headscarf out in Herts.

Two men were bailed after being arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of her ex Dave Fairbairn, 64, on July 5.

He was shot in the stomach in Enfield, North London, while confronting thugs threatening to torch her home.

Mr Fairbairn was said to be heartbroken when his former fiancée didn’t contact him after the attack.

He allegedly told a friend: “How can someone I cared so much about not care if I’m OK?”

A friend said: “To not hear from her at all when he was shot trying to protect her is awful.

"When someone literally takes a bullet for you, how can you not reach out?”

Gillian and Mr Fairbairn split in December, 2019, after dating on and off for four years.

The Albert Square stalwart is most famous for playing Kathy Beale in the long-running soap.
