EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy's daughter taken to hospital
EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has thanked NHS staff after her daughter had to be taken to hospital and undergo an operation on her broken arm.
The Sonia Fowler actress shared a snap with her daughter Joanie, four – who seemed to be soldiering on through the injury as she grinned away.
Natalie donned a mask as she sat next to the little one, with Joanie’s teddy seeming to be wearing a mask too – you can never be too careful, right?
‘I just wanted to thank all the staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital for looking after my little girl these last two days,’ Natalie wrote.
‘She’s broken her arm and had to have a little operation to fix it. Every member of staff were absolutely incredible and looked after Joanie and me in every way possible.
‘Home now. Wanted to say if you need to go to hospital for anything PLEASE go- they are the best places when you really need them. #nhs #nurses #staysafe. ♥️’.

Friends and fans of Natalie’s wished the little one well, including fellow EastEnders star Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) who said: ‘Oh my goodness!!! Give Joanie a squeeze from me ❤️❤️.’
Patsy Palmer (Bianca Jackson) sympathised, adding: ‘Ahhhh bless her tell her Bertie just had his cast off !!!!🙏🏻’.
Meanwhile, Clair Norris (Bernadette Taylor), told her: ‘Sending lots of love ❤️❤️❤️.’
Sharing a video to her Instagram Stories, Natalie added: ‘I just wanted to say tonight, thank you for everyone’s messages – kind, kind messages about Joanie, she’s absolutely fine.’
‘She’s home and we’re all good. But really the staff, the nurses, the porters, the cleaners, everybody, are so loving and caring in those hospitals that you know, you just cry all day.
‘[It’s been] emotional couple of days but everything’s good and these things happen,’ she continued, before finding the humour in the situation and adding: ‘You’ve just got to try and look after them the best you can and don’t wrap them up on cotton wool and then they go to school and break their arm. Can’t make it up!’
Natalie and her fiancé Marc Humphreys share two daughters – Joanie and her older sister Eliza.
Meanwhile, the star recently shared a rare snap of Marc, melting everyone’s hearts.
The couple gazed into each other’s eyes as they sat on the sofa and finally enjoyed some peace and quiet.
‘It doesn’t really matter what’s going on as long as we have each other,’ Natalie captioned the picture. ‘And yes. My nose is rather large. @camera_marc #soulmates #laughteristhebestmedicine #kidsareinbed #peaceatlast.’
