Emmerdale fans work out Alexs real health diagnosis after waking up

Emmerdale’s Billy Fletcher (played by Jay Konzle) finally cracked under pressure when he confessed to Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) that it was him who ran over Alex Moore (Liam Boyle). Despite the vicar being questioned by police over the hit and run, and with evidence pointing to him, Charles told Billy not to hand himself in.

The vicar told Billy that if Alex died, then no one would be blamed for the accident.

“Take a breath,” Charles told him as Billy said: “I keep seeing his face.

“Alex’s in front of the car. It was me, Charles, I was the one that run him over.”

He later said: “I swear he came out of nowhere and when I saw it was him I panicked.”

“I knew what the police would be thinking because of our past, so I left him.

“I mean, who does that? I am so sorry, Charles, so sorry.

“I’ll go to the police right now and sort this. I’ll tell them you have nothing to do with this.”

“Let’s just slow down and think this through,” the vicar weighed in.

In a panic, Billy continued: “I was just so scare for the kids, leaving Dawn and going back to prison.

“And now I’ve destroyed evidence by fixing the car and it looks more like an attempted murder than an accident.”

“It’s ok, you were scared I get that,” Charles reassured. “I know it was an accident.

“No one but God will know what happens next if Alex doesn’t wake up, the case might possibly collapse ad we are both in the clear.”

However, towards the end of the episode, Alex opened his eyes as he lay in his hospital bed.

Many fans seem to think the drug dealer won’t remember what happened and that he could have amnesia.

Taking to Twitter to share their theories about Alex’s health, @RyanTheSoapking shared: “Alex is alive but could he remember who knocked him down? #Emmerdale.”

@Chris1968E theorised: “#Emmerdale it wouldn’t surprise me if Alex has amnesia.”

While @mikepriestley13 added: “Alex won’t be able to remember who hit him he was on the phone and looking a different way to the car. Unless he tries to frame Billy there won’t be any evidence anyway unless Billy’s conscious gets the best of him. #Emmerdale.”

“#emmerdale Let me guess…usual soap twist – Alex wakes up … with amnesia,” @fussyMcWhiskers wrote.

@TwellyWatcher commented: “The only way Alex saw Billy would have been through his crystal ball #Emmerdale.”

@footballxaddict went on to say: “Totally obvious Alex was going to wake up.”

@CaroleAnn1982 asked: “Surely Alex has to be dead for Chuck to face a murder charge? #confused.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
