Emmerdale’s Gabby in danger as she runs away amid brutal family heartbreak

Emmerdale teen Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is faced with even more setbacks in upcoming scenes as her family troubles continue.

Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) arranges for her and Gabby to go out for a drink to celebrate the youngster starting college.

When Leyla later crosses paths with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) he persuades her to ditch her plans with Gabby and join him for a meal.

When Gabby turns up dressed for their night out, Leyla feels awful but is forced to tell the teenager that she's double booked.

Later in the week, Gabby decides she wants to join Leyla on a work trip to Ibiza but Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) says she can't afford to pay for the fight, leaving Gabby crestfallen.

Things go from bad to worse for the teenager when Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) comes home and announces to Laurel that he's booked to take her on a holiday.

Eavesdropping, Gabby is devastated to realise that Jai hasn't thought of including her in their plans.

Feeling snubbed, she runs off for a drunken Freshers' night out determined to escape her hurt.

Will Gabby end up in danger as she turns to alcohol for comfort, or will she open up about her feelings?

Emmerdale viewers know that Gabby has felt rejected and lonely recently.

The youngster reached out to her mother Bernice, who was played by Samantha Giles until her exit, who moved away to Australia last year, recently but she failed to answer her call.

When Bernice finally called Gabby back, she was shocked to hear that her daughter wanted to fly out to Oz too.

Bernice was adamant that the time was not right but Gabby thought that she was making up excuses to avoid her.

Gabby's recent antics, which include breaking into the Take a Vow office, appear to be a cry for help, wanting someone to notice her.

She unfairly blamed Leyla for everyone wrong in her life but the pair have since buried the hatchet, with Leyla convincing a distraught Gabby not to run away from the sleepy Yorkshire village.

Will someone finally notice Gabby before it's too late, or could things get even worse for the tearaway teen?

Emmerdale airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 7pm
