Good Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin fuels Strictly rumours as she admits she’s free and would ‘love to’
GOOD Morning Britain's weather star Laura Tobin has fuelled rumours she's lined-up for Strictly Comes Dancing by saying she's "available" to producers.
Mum-of-one Laura, 39, who is yet to appear on any reality TV shows, says she would be open to doing the show after rumours emerged earlier this year that bosses have their eyes on her and co-star Alex Beresford.
The weather woman has been with ITV since 2012 and now it looks like she could be heading into the spotlight.
During a chat with The Mirror, the journalist was asked if she was interested in appearing on the BBC ballroom competition after the rumours erupted that she's part of the next line-up.
Lauren replied: "I would love to do Strictly.
"I love dancing and singing, that’s all I do around the house with Charlotte. I would be available…"
It comes after a BBC source told us back in April that bosses are keen to get both Laura and Alex on Strictly.
A BBC One source said: “Strictly bosses like having an ITV daytime star as they help with audience figures, being really well-known.
“Viewers wake up to them every day.
“Laura and Alex are well liked and would make good signings.
“It is still early in the process but both their names are in the mix.”
Laura also hinted back in March 2019 that her moves would be right up producers streets after the Good Morning Britain Twitter account uploaded a video of her dancing before going on air.
GMB tweeted: "This is how @Lauratobin1 warms up before we go on air!
"Strictly producers, if you’re watching, she is available!"
Laura quoted tweeted and wrote: "I'm not sure they are ready for these moves on #Strictly."
