Cher (Bethannie Hare) begins to yet again feel overwhelmed by disgusting online abuse she has been receiving on her social media accounts and opens up to boyfriend Romeo (Owen Warner).

But on hearing Cher confess to him that she wants to remove her birthmark with bleach, Romeo's concern for his girlfriend leads to him seeking advice from Cher's dad, Sylver (David Tag).

Sylver panics when he hears what Cher has planned and when the doting dad tries to raise the issue with her, Cher tells him that she will take drastic action if he refuses to help.

Wanting to protect his daughter from harming herself, Sylver agrees to take Cher to a consultation about removing her birthmark on the condition that she deletes all of her social media accounts.

Meanwhile, Mercedes' (Jennifer Metcalfe) pregnancy bliss comes to a devastating end when she realises she is not actually pregnant.

She opens up to Cher and Goldie (Chelsee Healey) but Cher decides against telling Sylver the news when he comes to take her for her consultation.

Things take a turn for the worse when Sylver finds out Cher knew Mercedes' news and didn't tell him.

Sylver is left fuming at Cher, resulting in her deciding to take extreme action.

Romeo finds out that Cher has attempted to remove her birthmark herself but is now suffering in pain.

Cher is adamant she will not be stepping foot in hospital, resulting in Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) being roped into giving the teen stolen prescription pain killers.

As the week goes on, Cher's hatred towards her stepmum Mercedes reaches boiling point.

Cher steps up her plan to make everyone believe Mercedes is unstable and goes to extreme lengths by kidnapping Diane Hutchinson's (Alex Fletcher) newborn baby and framing her stepmum.

Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6:30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm.
