I'm A Celeb's Mo Farah's coach worries he'll get injured during grim challenges and risk missing 2020 Olympic Games
OLYMPIC hero Sir Mo Farah has revealed how his coach is worried he could get injured while taking part in the show’s famously difficult trials.
But Mo says the risk, which could see him ruled out of the rearranged Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, only motivates him more despite terrifying Gary Lough.
He said: “The main thing is staying injury free and staying focused.
“Gary worries about everything in terms of doing challenges and stuff like that but that’s what makes it exciting and that’s what excites me.
"So I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how much stars I’m going to win or do stuff, but obviously I’m just excited to be part of it.”
In order to keep his fitness up during a potential three week stay in the haunted castle in Abergele, North Wales, Mo will be forced to do tiny circular laps of the outside area by the longdrop toilet.
But he says he won’t have to train too hard, as he normally takes this period of the year off from running long distance anyway.
He said: “At this time of the year, I’m not even training. My normal training starts from January, training camp, I go about six or seven weeks into a block of training and then get back into racing, so it’s the perfect time to do it.
"I guess training will not start for me probably until January.”
