Joel Dommett, Ryan Thomas and Nicola Adams are first stars to join new BBC Three show Gassed Up

I CAN exclusively reveal the stars brave enough to volunteer for new Beeb show Gassed Up.

Ryan Thomas, Nicola Adams and Joel Dommett have filmed for the high-octane BBC Three series, which will be screened in the New Year.

And the show, with an initial six episodes, certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted, as the trio are put through their paces in motoring challenges.

A source said: “They’ve managed to get together a decent starting line-up. So far Ryan, Nicola and Joel have all filmed challenges and the results have been really funny.

“All of them were really brave and up for everything. There are a few more stars yet to sign on the dotted line but it’s hoped filming will be completed by October.

“Rapper Mist, real name Rhys Sylvester, is on board as the host. He is a car obsessive and was the perfect person to front the show.

“While the Beeb have Top Gear on BBC1, Gassed Up is going to be a bit like the funnier younger brother.”

There is definitely a gap in the market for telly shows for younger motoring fans. And it sounds like this could fit the bill perfectly.

Vernon’s ‘famous couch’

VERNON KAY is to join the presenting roster on This Morning.

He will partner Rochelle Humes when she returns to host the show for a week from next week. Talking about his stints on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Vernon said he was looking forward to sitting on “that famous sofa”.

TELLY baker Candice Brown looked good enough to eat as she attended an exhibition by the Instagram artist Sophie Tea.

The 2016 Great British Bake Off champ shimmered in a gold gown at the show, which included Sophie painting naked women.

Candice was joined by her boyfriend, Nicky Mercer, and the pair arrived at the Waldorf Astoria holding hands.

But she will soon be back in her familiar apron.

Candice is appearing at Blur bassist Alex James' The Big Feastival in the Cotswolds this weekend. She will take to The Big Kitchen stage at the festival to give visitors a masterclass in some of her culinary favourites.

TV chefs Jack Stein, Gizzi Erskine and Tom Barnes will also be featuring.

FANS of Netflix’s smash-hit US property show Selling Sunset are in for a treat now that Channel 4 has created a British version.

Property Porn Stars sees ambitious Tyron Ash leading a pack of tenacious estate agents.

They will showcase some of the country’s most lusted after properties to the super-rich, who think nothing of spending tens of millions.

All the drama between the estate agents will play out in the three-parter.

It’s not surprising tensions run high, as each of them can earn more than £25,000 a month in commission.

Executive producer Kerry Brierley said: “Get ready for plenty of drama as this group of twentysomethings reveal their personal stories, friendships and fighting spirits, as well as the highs and lows of the fiercely competitive property world.”

The Simple Life

CHANNEL 4’s new six-part series The Simple Life will see 24 British people living off-grid with an Amish family in Ohio.

The group will live by the Amish’s traditionalist Christian rules – with no technology, electricity, gas or machinery to help them run the farm. Those who signed up for the challenge include a rapper, former soldier and a high-flying gay couple and their two adopted children.
