Keith Lemon says he was ‘shocked’ by Holly Willoughby quitting Celebrity Juice – and doesn’t know who’ll replace her – The Sun
HOLLY Willoughby's co-star on Celebrity Juice, Keith Lemon, thought it was a "shocker" when she quit the show.
The mum-of-three, 39, quit the game show after 12 years so she could spend more time with her kids and husband, Dan Baldwin.
Keith, 46, told Mark Wright on his Lockdown Workout on Monday that he did not know who would be replacing Holly.
Mark asked Keith, "mate, what about Holly leaving?"
To which Keith replied: "Shocker. She told me last week so I knew when we were doing the lockdown Juices, but I didn’t want to bring down the joy. Gotta keep it joyful, I guess."
The comedian admitted feeling down about the news and said it was always hard when someone left the show, including when panellist Fearne Cotton left in 2018.
Keith said: "I was gutted when Fearne left. If anyone leaves who you like a lot, love a lot, you’re upset aren’t ya? but we are all adults aren’t we?"
When a fan asked him how he was feeling, Keith admitted "been better".
"It’s a shame it wasn’t in the studio [her last show], but lockdown ruined the world," he went on.
When pressed about who would be replacing Holly, Keith revealed they are yet to find a replacement.
When asked about it he replied: "No one yet. I was quite humoured by news of the bookies saying who is up for it. No one is yet. I’ve not had any meetings about it yet."
He also described what it's been like filming Celebrity Juice in lockdown and what fans can expect for Holly's last show.
Keith explained : "So we got the last one this week, which was filmed on my birthday so that was quite boozy. Matt Goss got totally naked apart from a sock.
"Next week it’s a compilation show looking back all of Celebrity Juice, including Holly’s best bits, with Holly, Mel B, John Barrowman and your friend Mr. Essex (Joey). It’s a farewell to Holly."
Since launching the panel series in 2008 Holly — mum to Harry, ten, Belle, eight, and Chester, five — has become one of the UK’s most successful female TV presenters.
She fronts ITV daytime show This Morning, alongside Phillip Schofield, 58, and filled in for Ant McPartlin, 44, two years ago on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here.
A TV source said: “Holly has absolutely loved her time on the show — it’s been a huge part of her life, and has really helped to expand her fanbase over the years.
“But she feels now is the right time to bow out and wants to free up a bit more of her busy schedule to spend with her family.
