Lisa Kudrow admits she didn’t bother watching later episodes of Friends and ‘remembers nothing’ from time on sitcom – The Sun
FRIENDS star Lisa Kudrow has confessed she "remembers nothing" about her time on the US sitcom – even failing to watch some of her character's later scenes.
The American played hilarious Phoebe Buffay in the long-running series, which also starred Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer.
Yet Lisa, 56, only has the memories of filming some of her final scenes to draw on – as she confessed she never watched the later series.
So while she'll be able to draw on Phoebe's Smelly Cat performances and becoming a mum to triplets, she wouldn't have seen her key role in The One Where They Say Goodbye.
This sees her quirky character finally persuades Ross to come clean with ex Rachel before she starts a new life in Paris.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Lisa said of the later stages of the 10-series show: "I haven’t seen some of the later episodes, to be honest.
"And then I don’t rewatch them. So it’s really fun to talk about things.
"Someone remembers it one way and someone remembers something else about it altogether, and I don’t know, it’s really fun. It’s great.
"And then some people have phenomenal memories. Jennifer remembers everything and Matt remembers everything."
She then quipped: "And I remember nothing."
Yet the actress has surely had plenty of time to revisit the episodes in lockdown, in preparation for the HBO Max reunion episode.
This was originally scheduled for release in May, with filming planned for March, yet the coronavirus pandemic has put all plans on hold.
The show was scheduled to being production at the now-iconic soundstage on the Warner Brothers studio lot in Los Angeles where the famous series originally taped.
However, sources confirmed to Deadline that filming has been delayed “until at least May” – with further delays to be expected.
Friends creators Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane are also poised to join the group-of-six when the show is back up and running.
Fans were elated when the whole cast announced on February 21 they would join the reunion.
The cast confirmed the news simultaneously on Instagram as they all shared a post of the same cast image alongside the caption: "It’s happening…"
