Masked Singer’s Viking is Game of Thrones star according to tell-tale clues

Viewers tuning in to The Masked Singer on Saturday night were convinced that they've figured out who the Viking is.

After watching the character's latest performance and hearing some more clues, judge Jonathan Ross threw a name into the mix – and fans at home agreed.

The celebrity hinted that they have broken records and enjoyed fame in America as well as in the UK and said his early career included "brotherly love".

Jonathan, 60, told host Joel Dommett that he thinks the Viking is Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn.

The 57-year-old star played the role of Bronn in the hit HBO series, but years ago he enjoyed fame as a singer.

He and his Soldier Soldier co-star Robson Green performed as Robson & Jerome in the latter half of the 1990s, and had some great success.

The duo released a version of Unchained Melody, which stayed at number 1 for seven weeks on the UK Chart, selling more than a million copies and becoming the best-selling single of 1995.

Robson & Jerome had a two further No singles with I Believe and What Becomes of the Brokenhearted.

The clue to breaking a record could be in relation to the fact that their version of Unchained Melody sold 314,000 copies in its first week, and at that time was the fastest-selling debut single in UK chart history.

Taking to Twitter, many viewers agreed with Jonathan's choice of celebrity.

"Jerome Flynn = Viking," one person tweeted, while a second said: "Viking is Jerome Flynn."

A third added: "Sang a cover of the Righteous Brothers hit Unchained Melody Starred in USA and UK in Game of Thrones."
