Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen teams up with Escape to the Country's Jules Hudson on new show

OUR Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen has teamed up with Escape to the Country's Jules Hudson.

The duo joined forces for Channel 5's new series of Summer on the Farm – which aired on our screens last week.

Escape to the Country's Jules, Helen Skelton and brothers Rob and Dave Nicholson presented the show from Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley for five days from June 14 2021.

Throughout the week-long programme, they invited a number of famous faces to join them, including Amanda, 46.

During a recent chat with the Daily Express, Jules lifted the lid on what it was like working with the mum-of-nine, who stars in Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm.

He said: "Her passion is just legendary. And I think she would also say we offered her the chance to do some things that she might never have done such as foraging this week, and she's really enjoyed that.”

Jules also opened up about why he thinks the shepherdess is so popular, suggesting it's because she's very open and honest about her way of life to the viewers.

He confessed: "I've worked with Amanda many times and she is a force of nature."

“She is the most astonishing individual and the family are an astonishing family."

The telly star added: "She is very honest about the life that she shares, and I think it's a very bold and brave thing to share your life the way that she has.

“Through initially social media and now of course, on TV. Not every family would be up to that.

“But I think also the nature of their life, you know where it is, how it unfolds and their passion for their animals and for the life that they have conjured in a very remote and challenging part of the world.”

Amanda, who recently hit back after being told to "put some clothes on" after sharing a skin-bearing snap, originally made her name on Twitter as the The Yorkshire Shepherdess.

She was later given the opportunity to film the observational documentary at Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, where she lives with her husband Clive Owen and nine kids.

The telly star is mum to Raven, 18, Reuben, 17, Annas, six, Clemmy, five, Sydney, eight, Miles, 14, Edith, 11, Violet, nine, and Nancy, three.

Her eldest Raven recently revealed that the worst thing about being part of a huge family is that "you don’t really have much peace".

Amanda has also written four books since shooting to fame in 2015 – The Yorkshire Shepherdess, A Year in the Life of the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess and Tales from the Farm.

Summer on the Farm is available on My5.
