Phil Mitchell betrayed in EastEnders orange juice scandal
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) has been at the centre of many an EastEnders scandal over the years, and the latest has left fans in complete and utter shock.
Viewers will know that the hard-man is determined to help Sharon Beale (Letitia Dean) kill husband Ian (Adam Woodyatt), as they hold him responsible for the death of Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau).
Tuesday’s edition of the BBC One soap (January 19) saw Phil arrive at The Queen Vic with a drug deadly enough to kill Ian in one fell swoop, it would seem.
However, he had to be discreet in passing it to Sharon, given that Ian was sitting in the pub.
Therefore, after ordering an orange juice, Phil placed the money on the bar, with the drug underneath, which Sharon then discreetly slipped off the bar and into her pocket.
Giving Sharon a deadly drug to kill Ian with is scandalous in itself, but that’s actually not what shocked fans about the moment in question.
Rather it was the fact that the legendary hard-man paid a fiver for his orange juice!
One fan said: ‘Blimey £5 for an orange juice, I mean I know its London East End but wow think Phil got ripped off not even ice offered!’
Another added: ‘Did Phil really pay £5 for a glass of orange juice on eastenders? I know London prices are mad but that’s taking the p*ss.’
One more said: ‘Watching Tuesday’s Eastenders were I believe I just saw Phil Mitchell purchase half pint of orange juice for £5 without change. Madness.’
Sharon owes Phil some change, surely?
Daylight robbery, it would seem!
