Stacey Solomon says son Rex ‘shows how beautiful life can be’ as she celebrates his first birthday with a video tribute – The Sun
STACEY Solomon says her son Rex "shows her how beautiful life can be" in a beautiful tribute on his first birthday.
The 30-year-old celebrated her third child – who she nicknamed pickle – with a beautiful montage of videos on Instagram this morning.
She shared her favourite moments waking up with her son over the past 12 months before saying "happy birthday" to Rex and showering him with kisses.
Showing fans a snap of her cradling newborn Rex with his dad Joe Swash, Stacey said: "Waking up to you every pickle, every morning for the last year has brightened up our world."
She added: "Your happiness is such a blessing and every night my head hits the pillow I dream of when you will wake and show me how beautiful life can be.
"Pickle you are a living angel who brings so much light into our lives and we can not believe that today we are waking up to a year of our pickle."
Stacey has spent the last few days planning an incredible birthday party for Rex today with a balloon arch, doughnut wall and loads of presents.
In between Rex's naps and home-schooling her older children Leighton and Zach, Stacey has been making beautiful decorations to make her baby's special day one to never forget.
She also made a cake from scratch, but admitted she had "muffed it".
She also wasn't happy with her balloon arch. Stacey said: "Tried to hide the string but I'd need more balloons and I'm not blowing up another bloody balloon, so it'll have to be stringy."
The 30-year-old wrapped up presents for the little man to celebrate his first birthday – and it looks like he's about to be spoilt rotten.
But in April, Stacey and Joe made the decision to give Rex one of his gifts a six weeks early so he could make the most of it in the sunny weather.
The generous parents turned their garden into a water haven with a blow-up swimming pool for their little boy as temperatures rocketed in Britain during lockdown.
