Strictly's Max George drops celebratory F-bomb after dance with Dianne Buswell
Strictly Come Dancing fans were left a little surprised as Max George accidentally swore at the end of his dance with Dianne Buswell.
The Wanted star performed an American Smooth with the pro dancer and, after struggling with it all week, he was clearly rather relieved after the performance.
Max, 32, could be heard saying: ‘F**king get in!’ after the pair finished their dance.
‘”f**king get in” MAX THIS IS A FAMILY SHOW,’ one viewer wrote,’ while another added: ‘I’m sure I just heard Max say ‘f**king get in’ at the end of that dance.’
‘Did Max just say what I think he said,’ one more wrote.
Claudia Winkleman later apologised, telling viewers: ‘I also just want to quickly apologise for some language earlier that involved Max.
‘I don’t know the details, I don’t know if you heard. If you did, we’re deeply sorry. Even if you didn’t hear, we’re sorry on every level.’
The pair earned a respectable 20 for their dance, with a five from Craig Revel Horwood, seven from Shirley Ballas, and eight from new judge Anton du Beke as he stands in for Motsi Mabuse.
Motsi revealed this week that she would have to self-isolate following an urgent trip to Germany, but that she will be appearing via video link.
During Friday evening’s episode of It Takes Two, Anton spoke to presenter Gethin Jones about temporarily taking on the senior role on the show.
‘I can’t tell you how excited I am. I’m so thrilled,’ the 54-year-old professional dancer said. ‘I just love the show, and just to be asked to fill in for Motsi for the next couple of weeks is an absolute honour.’
Anton also provided Gethin with an insight into what kind of judge he will be, saying he will be ‘enthusiastic’ and ‘kind’, while also remaining aware that ‘everyone is trying their best’.
Strictly Come Dancing returns Sunday at 7:25 on BBC One.
