Tara Reid confirms she's in talks to play Carole Baskin in the Tiger King movie

Tara Reid has confirmed she is in the running to play Carole Baskin in the film adaptation of Tiger King, alongside Nicolas Cage who will be taking on Joe Exotic – the most coveted role of the year.

It’s already wild.

The 44-year-old – who is currently self-isolating with her Celebrity Big Brother housemates Jedward – revealed she’s been in negotiations to star as the controversial animal rights activist in the movie expected to arrive on the small screen next year.

‘We’re definitely in major conversations and working out the things,’ the American Pie star told US Weekly.

And being the dedicated actress that she is, Tara stressed she wants to hang out with Carole to see how she ’s**ts’.

‘I would definitely want to spend a week with [Baskin] – not to ask her anything, to see how she eats, s**ts, see how she plays, see if she talks to people,’ she explained.

Joe spent years protesting against Carole, his big cat rival, accusing the 58-yea-old of killing her ex-husband Jack Don Lewis, the multimillionaire who vanished in 1997.

‘Did she kill her husband? Did the tiger eat him? Did she do this? There’s so much stuff up in the air,’ Tara continued. ‘Nothing’s ever been proven and maybe she did nothing or maybe she did. No one knows.’

Tiger King was without a doubt the most-talked-about TV moment of the year as Joe Exotic’s surreal life in his Florida animal park blew up in the seven-part series which dropped in March 2020.

Joe is currently serving a 22 year prison sentence for plotting to kill Carole, and shooting five tigers dead as well as illegally selling wild animals.

Tiger King also took a deep dive into his unconventional marriage to both John Finlay and Travis Maldonado, who lived as a ‘throuple’, before John had children with a colleague, and Travis accidentally took his own life.

Joe is currently holding out for President Donald Trump to set him free via a presidential pardon, with his current husband Dillon Passage arriving in Washington DC earlier this week as their campaign gathers steam.

Tiger King: Murder Mayhem and Life is available to stream on Netflix now.
