The Big Bang Theory fans unearth easy-to-miss wedding that took place off camera
THE BIG Bang Theory fans have uncovered an easy-to-miss wedding that took place off camera and was never referenced in the series.
The CBS comedy came to an end last year but viewers of the show are still finding out little nuggets of information about their favourite characters.
Fans of The Big Bang Theory, which is available to stream on Netflix, will know that over the years Leonard had several girlfriends but there was only one (other than Penny) that stood out.
Raj’s (Kunal Nayyar) sister Priya Koothrappali got with Leonard in season four and the pair then end up dating for a little while, until long distance and cheating leads to them breaking up.
And now TBBT fans have deduced that Priya is herself married after Raj’s dad reveals in season 10, that five out of his six children are married.
Given that Raj isn’t married, it means Priya must have tied the knot.
In a new Reddit thread, one fan pointed out the fact that Raj’s sister must be married but it was never addressed by either her brother or ex-boyfriend.
One fan commented: “Even though we don’t hear much about Priya after she and Leanord broke up, in S10 E16 Raj’s dad says to raj that out of his 6 children, 5 of them are married which means Priya is married.
“I don’t know if people noticed this.”
Another fan replied: “Well she did cheat on Leonard with her ex when she went back to India so my assumption was that she married him”
The Big Bang Theory ended in May last year after 12 seasons when star Jim Parsons decided he no longer wanted to go ahead.
And despite pleas from distraught fans, Mayim Bialik recently revealed a reunion is off the table due to ‘legal stuff’.
Mayim, who played Amy Farrah Fowler, has warned them not to expect any kind of reunion any time soon.
She told Metro.co.uk: "This aspect of the industry is that everyone does have other jobs and all sorts of other things going on."
Mayim has reunited with her on-screen husband Jim Parsons – who played Sheldon Cooper – for a new show, but she doesn't expect to see them both back with the Big Bang cast in the near future.
She continued: “Right now, Jim Parsons and I are producing a show Call Me Kat, so that’s technically where my life is.
"Again, there’s a lot of legal stuff which is very boring about why shows do have reunions and don’t, but I think it’s probably too soon."
