Tom is shocked to discover a family murder in Emmerdale

Tom King (James Chase) has been slowly reconnecting with uncle Jimmy King (Nick Miles) since returning to the Emmerdale village, but the revelation of a huge family secret could be set to blow them apart again.

In upcoming scenes, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) will work to bring Tom and Jimmy together once more after a mention of Tom’s dad, Carl, the last time they spoke caused friction between them.

Carl King was murdered by Cameron Murray in 2012, shortly after revealing to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) that he had murdered his dad in 2006.

It is this murder that is set to come between the King family once more, as Jimmy accidentally let’s slip to Tom that his dad killed his grandad and namesake, Tom King.

Tom came flying out of a first floor window on Christmas day 2006, sparking one of Emmerdale’s biggest whodunit storylines.

Though there were ten suspects, including the three King brothers themselves, the family were shocked when Carl revealed that he had been responsible for the death.

Tom had been disapproving of Carl’s relationship with Chas, and murdered him after being given an ultimatum to either break up with her or lose his multi-million pound inheritance.

When Tom Jr learns of his father’s patricide, he is horrified, and immediately leaves.

Later, in the Woolpack, Jimmy approaches Tom and attempts to defend Carl once more.

However, Tom can’t face hearing about it, and the pair end up face to face.

As their confrontation escalates, Jimmy ends up cutting Tom out of his life for good.

Will Jimmy regret his decision?
