Towie's Tommy Mallet shows off impressive weight loss after shifting a stone during lockdown
TOWIE’S Tommy Mallet is showing off the results of his impressive weight loss after shifting almost a stone.
The 27-year-old has been working hard to get in shape during the enforced lockdown to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Sharing the side by side images to his Instagram page, Tommy captioned the shots: “I told myself at the start of lockdown that I have to take advantage of the situation & lose some weight! This is where I’m at after 2 months.”
The two topless mirror selfies showed that the Towie star had dropped from 104.6kg to 98.6kg.
His friends and followers rushed to congratulate the reality star and tell him how good he looked, with many telling him the ‘before’ photo looked pretty great too.
One of his followers wrote: "looking lean pal!"
"Love this mentality – mindset of and in every situation leads to the outcomes we believe are possible," added another.
A third commented: "Your before was good enough? Well done tho," to which Tommy replied: "It’s never good enough but thank you!"
Tommy's long-time girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou also showed her appreciation for her hunky boyfriend by leaving a string of emojis: "👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥"
Over the last year shoe designer Tommy has been keeping fans updated with his work outs and often posts pictures of himself in the boxing ring, as well as going for runs.
In 2018 Tommy revealed his weight had crept up to 17 stone as he battled with mental health.
He told fans at the time: “2018 was a good year but also the year where my mental health over took me.. with that my health slipped and I become the biggest I had ever been..”
Discussing his struggle: “I woke up one morning I just sat there and looked at a wall. I couldn't leave the house. I know it was only a few days but still. It was scary.
“I feel like I need to do something to help people. I need to sort myself out first more than anything but I'd like to try and help people, because it can be naughty.
“Young men if you're going through something and you don't talk about it, it can f*** you.”
