Why hasn't Mick asked Frankie for a DNA test in EastEnders? Katy is claiming Frankie isn't his daughter

EASTENDERS fans were left sickened when Mick Carter’s former abuser Katy Lewis denied sexually abusing him when he was 12.

Why hasn’t Mick done a DNA test to see if Frankie is his daughter?

Mick was shocked out of his skin to see his former abuser Katy standing in front of him this week.

But when Mick finally came to his senses and asked her why she hadn’t told him Frankie was his daughter, Katy dropped the huge bombshell that Frankie wasn’t his.

Katy went on to try and convince Mick that they’d never slept together, and that he was simply imagining it.

Mick, ashamed and wanting to bury his head in the sand, seemed to take Katy’s word for it.

But EastEnders fans were left fuming by Katy’s manipulative behaviour and left hoping that he’d ask Frankie for a DNA test to see if she is his daughter.

One tweeted: “Mick should have asked Frankie for a DNA test. #Eastenders."

Another added: "All Mick has to do is request a DNA test to see if Frankie is his daughter… if he IS.. it proves this woman did abuse him. Finish… why long it all out? #Eastenders"

A third viewer said: "Bet Mick is gutted Jeremy Kyle has finished. Has he maybe considered a DNA test?? #EastEnders"

Is Frankie Mick's daughter in EastEnders?

It’s not yet clear whether Frankie is actually Mick's daughter.

But the soap has confirmed that Mick did experience abuse at the hands of Katy when he was a child.

Viewers knew something was off when Frankie arrived in the Square and dropped the bombshell that she was his estranged daughter earlier this year.

The small age gap between the father and daughter left fans wondering if Mick had been abused.

And viewers' suspicions were confirmed as Frankie tried to get Mick to see the truth about the abuse her mother inflicted upon him after learning he was only 12 when he fathered her.

The BBC soap has worked with SurvivorsUK and the NSPCCA on the abuse storyline to make sure Mick’s storyline is as accurate as possible.

Jon Sen, Executive Producer EastEnders revealed: “Viewers have always been aware that Mick spent many years in care, which has been the cause of his fractured relationship with Shirley but now the audience will discover just why Mick’s childhood has been so traumatic.

“This storyline will see Mick having to confront the demons of his past, something he has desperately tried to avoid for many years and face up to the realisation that he experienced abuse whilst he was in care.

“Our work with SurvivorsUK and NSPCC has been vital in informing and grounding Mick’s story very much in reality."

He added: “We hope this storyline will help to challenge the perceptions, the stigma and the shame – particularly experienced by male survivors.”

How old is Katy in EastEnders?

Katy confirmed in Monday night’s episode (November 9) that she was 23 years old when she fell pregnant with Frankie.

This means there must be around an 11 year age gap between Katy and Mick, who has confirmed he was only 12 when he slept with his care worker.

With Mick being around 42, Katy must be in her early 50s now.
