X Factor's Andrea Faustini is unrecognisable seven years on – but he still loves pugs and the Spice Girls

THE X Factor star Andrea Faustini looks very different seven years after appearing on the show.

The singer, 27, shot to fame on the eleventh series of the ITV singing competition in 2014 when he was just 19-years-old.

He wowed judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and Mel B with his rendition of The Jackson 5's Who's Lovin' You during his first audition.

He was mentored by the spice girl in the boys category and managed to place third behind runner-up Fleur East and winner Ben Haenow.

The Italian-born star is most probably remembered for his obsession over the flat-faced breed dog and the popular 90s girl band.

When Andrea first appeared on the show he decided to wear a jumper with a pug on it and rocked a number of other outfits with the popular breed.

Seven years after his stint on the show and nothing has changed.

Just last year he celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Spice Girls debut album “Spice” by sharing a snap of the record on his Instagram.

He said: "My personal memories with the Spice Girls are so many: from singing their songs in my bedroom as a kid to actually meeting and working with Mel B during The X Factor in 2014 and seeing them live in Wembley in 2019, just to name a few.

"This album will forever hold a special place in my heart because it’ll always remind me of my childhood and how much singing made (makes) me happy!"

He also attended the Spice Girls tour back at Wembley in 2019.

Andrea posted a snap from the event on his Twitter and captioned the post: "Thank you @[email protected] for such a special night!"

Back in 2015 he told Attitude magazine: "Spice Girls were one of the groups that made me want to sing. I was three when they were around. I just loved them.

"All the gifts I would receive were Spice Girls-related.

"I have a VHS of their show in Istanbul. I can’t watch it anymore. I need to find the DVD version or watch it on YouTube."

Andrea is still doing what he loves the most – singing.

A year after the competition he released his debut studio album Kelly, which peaked at number 14 on the charts.

In 2015 he released his single Give a Little Love, then in 2020 he released another called Voices.

The TV star boasts an impressive 71.4k followers on Instagram and regularly keeps his fans up to date with what he gets up to daily.

He recently shared a video of him singing Whitney Houston's song My Love IsYour Love.
