What a steal! Police are flogging designer goods seized from criminals on eBay for knockdown prices including Arsenal kit for 99p, Nike Air Jordan trainers and Hugo Boss baby clothes

A police force is flogging a range of stolen goods claimed back from criminals at knockdown prices on eBay.  

Some 36 items, including an Arsenal kit, designer clothes and phone accessories, which were seized by officers or handed in at police stations, have been put up for auction. 

All money raised from the sales then goes into a pot which is dished out to local community and voluntary groups. 

The children’s Gunners strip – for seven to eight-year-olds – was put on for just 99p and has already attracted 13 bids of up to £18 on Thames Valley Police’s page on the site.

A bundle of designer baby clothes – including Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren labels for tots between three and six months – has had bids of up to £55

Meanwhile, a pair of Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro Lucid Green Trainers are set to fetch £102

Shoppers not wanting to fork out loads on cutlery can get a Harrods Stainless Steel Dubarry three-piece set for as little as £3.20

Elsewhere, a collection of iPhone cables, power adaptors and earphones are going for £82

A designer shoulder bag is also included in the haul of goods being put up for sale by police

The force, which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, set up an eBay page in 2015 and has 100 per cent positive feedback, including five-star ratings for communication, postage, dispatch time and descriptions of items.

The page temporarily closed when Britain went back into lockdown at the start of the year but has now returned to selling goods, with all proceeds going to the Police Property Act Fund.

This is a pot of cash managed by Thames Valley’s Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable, which is distributed to local community and voluntary groups.

Anyone who successfully wins an auction for one of the items listed must collect the goods from Milton Keynes Police Station.  

One customers bought some Next pants from the force and said: ‘Great product as advertised easy transaction would recommend seller.’

A second purchased some Bobbi Brown and Max Factor make-up and added: ‘A pleasure to deal with as always.

‘I hope to be back. Great item great service.’

A third – who won the bidding for some Minecraft Lego – said: ‘Great item and great service.

‘The commerce team are lovely and helpful a delight.’

Other retrieved goods include a Sony radio, which is available for £18 on the eBay page
